Stinson Beach

Stinson Beach

With a population of less than 700, Stinson Beach lives up to its small-town reputation of being quiet, calm, and relaxed. Situated on the beautiful California coast north of the Golden Gate Bridge, Stinson beach is a popular year-round destination. Live Water Surf Shop, home of the infamous “no shark” logo, is one of the oldest surf shops in Northern California and is open year-round to help surfers of all levels enjoy the waves at Stinson. Close by you'll find the Parkside Café, a small market, a coffee stand, a book store, and a variety of small boutiques. The Stinson Beach Library is just a stone's throw down the road from the main town and offers a monthly book club and an exhibit room featuring a rotating display of local exhibits and artists.

Donna’s Stinson Picks:

The walk along the beach to the end of Seadrift never gets old. It’s always fun for people and dog watching as well as for house dreaming.

If you’re lucky enough to be in Stinson Beach over the Fourth of July, check out the Stinson/Bolinas tug of war that begins usually around 9 am at the mouth of the lagoon dividing the two towns. This is a tug of war as you’ve never before seen!
